And another little WINWARG. Not much to say about this one, except for the fact that, after posting it the first time, and my laptop decided to sulk and not let me produce the PNG. Sigh. Here it is, though.

I got another new one for you.

The Lithium Eater now has a name, suggested by Overtilt. The name has that Legostar Galactica feel to it, I think (although it's not quite as good as Jeff the Ninja or Gary the Giant Space Squid :)

You'll most likely see #13 quite soon, most likely on Sunday. Or would it be "Sunday"? :D

WINWARG #11 (again) - WINWARG revisited

A new #11, released today.

Turns out Doslo didn't like being put aside. So WINWARG returns. And there was much rejoicing.

WINWARG #11 - the failed competition

In December 2004, with very little feedback, I decided to make a little competition. I created a strip with no dialogue, specifically this one.

I only received one submission, from Shadowlord:

First panel:
[q] *is dragging a bag full of Li+*
[R] Get 'em!
[L] *makes a loud Li+ Eater roar*
[f] Oooo, catnip! *munch munch*

Second panel:
[q] *drops a piece of Li+ to distract the Li+ Eater*
[R] Hah! Got you now! That tunnel's a dead end!
[f] Wheee runnnning aimlessly!

Third panel:
[q] Gotta... RUN... FASTER!
[R] Jeez, I can calmly stroll and keep up with him.
[L] *munch munch*
[f] Wheeeeee!

Fourth panel:
[q] Sweet baby parsis! It really IS a dead end!
[R] Drop the loot and put your paws in the air!
[L] Hey, who put catnip in this Lit--ERGHHK! *turns into monster*
[f] Ack! To the roof! To the roof!

Last panel:
[f] *SPLAT*... I hate glass ceilings.

I have no idea how you will fit all that on the comic, but.. hee.

I decided to stop WINWARG there, and leave #11 unfinished, due to the lack of interest.

WINWARG #10

#10. May 2004. A moderator went to Japan to go to university. So I made this as a going-away present. The second and third panels are meant to represent IRC.

#9 from April 2004. And I appear in the strip - Quibarsey annoyed me, as you can see.

And RJ... well, he's RJ. We're both administrators at the forum these were (and still are) posted in. In case you haven't worked it out, Quibarsey is... inspired by someone. It seemed fitting that the admins deal with the troublemaker here.

And here's Quibarsey, the sort-of-bad-guy I mentioned. I got bored of "Translat-O-Matic"ising his speech quite quickly.

#7. About a month and a half later. I started slowing down due to lack of feedback.

I also started a mini-arc and created a semi-sort-of-bad-guy who was more comical than anything else.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, the L is a Lithium Eater - a race of my own creation which still doesn't exist in Noctis. Bah.

And here's #1 from 3rd August 2003, the first proper WINWARG. This was a try-out, and an attempt to get a decent format going. (In some ways, I still haven't.)

This is the image that started this thing off, originally done in August of 2002. (Is it that long ago already?)

And what does it mean, I hear you ask?

Quite simple - this is an roguelike-style rendition of a typical Noctis image. (For more about Noctis, click the "AnywhereBB - home of Noctis" link in the sidebar, then click "noctis" in the header.) The "f" is our protagonist, later named Doslo by a forum member. The Ts are trees. The "h" is a hopper (a typical rendition of an animal in Noctis; it hops). That big bunch of # symbols is the Suricrasian Cube, which fills pretty much the entire sector of the planet.

There's no real reason why it's here rather than on streyalis.org. I guess, though, that since I have the account, I might as well use it. I'll post the current WINWARGs and config the place later.
